Aviation Heroes Awards 2025 Raises Over £3,800 for Lifelites
We’re thrilled to share that the inaugural Aviation Heroes Awards 2025, hosted by Aviation Services UK, raised an incredible £3,864 in support of Lifelites!
Held beneath the iconic wings of Concorde at the Concorde Conference Centre in Manchester, the evening brought together the often-unsung heroes of aviation – the dedicated ground service teams working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the UK flying. It was a truly special night, filled with pride, joy, and an inspiring sense of togetherness.

The event was made even more memorable by the presence of Mike Kane MP, the UK’s Aviation Minister, who joined in celebrating the sector’s remarkable individuals and helped present awards to those making a real difference on the ground.
We’re incredibly grateful to David Leighton and the entire team at Aviation Services UK for choosing Lifelites as the charity partner for this fantastic event, and to everyone who helped make the night such a success – including Sterling Event Group Limited and the Concorde Conference Centre.

A huge thank you also goes to the generous companies who donated raffle prizes, which played a key role in raising funds on the night. Special thanks to Unifi UK, DHL, dnata, GH London, Menzies Aviation, Jet2.com, Swissport, Cobalt Ground Solutions, The Horsham Cellar, ABM, and Gatwick Ground Services. With amazing prizes like Delta return flights, Coldplay tickets, a Spa Day experience, flight simulator sessions, three-course dinners, and more, these contributions helped make the evening unforgettable.
Most importantly, every pound raised will help Lifelites deliver life-changing assistive and sensory technology to children and young people with life-limiting conditions in hospices across Britain and Ireland. This cutting-edge technology opens up a world of communication, creativity, and connection – no matter what physical challenges they face.

Congratulations once again to all the award winners – and thank you to everyone who helped Lifelites soar even higher. Read more about the event.
If you’re inspired to get involved – by partnering with us for your event or donating a prize for a future fundraiser – we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at partnerships@lifelites.org.
