Play Games, Change Lives

Turn your passion for gaming into life-changing impact for seriously ill children. Game Time is where playing games can change lives. Whether you’re a video gamer, a table-top game enthusiast, or someone who wants to host a fun night with friends, your gaming will help children and young people play and have fun through the power of assistive technology.

Gaming Heroes Wanted!

Whatever your game, wherever you play and whoever with, you can change the lives of children living with complex medical needs. Join gamers across the UK for a celebration of everything gaming. From table-top gaming marathons to video game streaming, you can support seriously ill children through the magic, fun and inclusion of gaming.

Every game played and pound raised will help make the impossible possible for children and young people accessing hospices, special education and care services.

How gaming changes young lives

By gaming for good, you will give seriously ill children access to life-changing assistive and sensory technology that will enable them to enjoy play games as equals with their family and friends.

Game Time is Lifelites’ fundraising campaign where gamers, families, workplaces, and communities come together to play game and change lives. Every game played – online or in person – helps children in hospices and care centres across Britain and Ireland experience the magic of play, creativity, and connection through Lifelites technology.

Whilst you can join in all year round, we will dedicate the month of October to a celebration of gaming. More info coming soon so stay tuned!

It’s simple! Choose how you want to play – host a board game night, stream your favourite video game, or get competitive with your colleagues.
Then set up a fundraising page, share it with your friends, and start gaming for good.

Not at all! You can join any way that suits you. Whether it’s a family Scrabble night, a Mario Kart tournament, or a workplace quiz, every bit of fun helps raise funds.

Absolutely! We’ll provide a Game Time Supporting Toolkit with everything you need: overlays, fundraising tips, and step-by-step setup guides.

Every penny you raise helps us provide life-changing assistive and sensory technology for children with life-limiting and complex conditions – from Eyegaze systems that let children speak with their eyes, to Magic Carpets and VR headsets that let them explore whole new worlds. Every game played and every pound raised helps bring joy, communication and creativity to the children we support.

There are lots of fun ways to raise money while you play!

  • Set up a JustGiving page – The easiest way to collect donations. Share your link with friends, family, or during your livestreams.
  • Host a game night or tournament – Ask guests for a small entry fee or donation to play (you can even use your JustGiving page to collect it).
  • Collect in person – Gather cash donations safely and send them to Lifelites via bank transfer or cheque (bank transfer preferred).
  • Stream for Lifelites – If you’re streaming online, share your donation link in your chat or stream title so viewers can easily give.
On Twitch, you can raise funds directly for Lifelites by heading to your Creator Dashboard → Charity, searching for Lifelites, and starting a fundraiser. Your viewers can then donate any amount straight to the charity. If you’d like help setting this up or have any questions, please get in touch at challenges@lifelites.org — we’re happy to help!
  • Matched giving – Ask your workplace if they’ll match what you raise!

We love team efforts! You can:

  • Host a Game Night In and collect donations.
  • Set up a workplace tournament (you could add bonus points for fancy dress).
  • Challenge other teams or clubs to join you and compete for fun prizes.

There’s no minimum fundraising amount – every pound truly makes a difference for the children we support. As a thank you for your amazing efforts:

  • Claim your free Lifelites t-shirt simply by taking part in Game Time.
  • Raise £100+ and you’ll receive a Lifelites badge and certificate to celebrate your achievement.
  • Raise £500+ and we’ll also send you a Lifelites tote bag.
  • Raise £1,000+ and you’ll receive all of the above plus a Lifelites limited edition goodie as an extra thank-you!

The campaign runs throughout the year. In October 2026, we are planning a special celebration of gaming, so make sure to keep in touch with us so you don’t miss any info when we launch!
