Meet Charlotte

Charlotte was just 15 months old when she was diagnosed with Rett syndrome, a rare genetic neurological disorder. As it affects the way the brain develops, this condition causes a progressive loss of motor skills and language ability.
Despite all the challenges she has faced, Charlotte has grown into a happy, resilient teenager. She loves spending time with loved ones and the technology that helps her engage with the world.
As Charlotte is non-verbal and non-mobile, assistive technology plays a vital role in her life. From playing games on the Eyegaze to enjoying sensory experiences with the Sensory Pods, technology brings her joy, supports her communication and allows her to spend quality time with her brother, Finley.
