Friern Barnet Lions Golf Challenge Raises £10,535 for Lifelites
On Thursday, 21st May 2026, the Friern Barnet Centennial Lions Club held their annual Charity Golf Challenge at the Stanmore Golf Club. We are delighted to announce that an incredible £10,535 was raised for Lifelites. These funds will support our vital work bringing life-changing technology to children with life-limiting conditions.

A Perfect Spring Day of Golf and Fundraising
Golfers were treated to beautiful day on the magnificent course at the Stanmore Golf Club. The glorious weather set a wonderful tone for the day’s charity golf challenge. The day concluded with a dinner that brought together golfers, their families and the wider community.
Throughout the evening, guests showed amazing generosity when it came to raising funds for Lifelites. In total, they raised over £10,000, which will make a huge difference in helping us carry on our vital work.
This donation will help ensure that Lifelites can continue to provide life-changing assistive and sensory technology to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. This technology can break down barriers and open up a world of fun and inclusion for children who need it most.

A Huge Thank You to the Friern Barnet Lions Club Community
We are particularly appreciative of the ongoing support from the Friern Barnet Centennial Lions Club and Lions Clubs International. Events like the charity golf day demonstrate the great impact community-minded organisations have on their localities.
Friern Barnet Lion Kumar Acharya, Chairman of the Golf Day Committee, said:
“Supporting Lifelites in its incredible mission has been a deeply rewarding experience for our Lions Club. We are part of the world’s largest service organisation, Lions Clubs International- whose motto is ‘We Serve.’ We take immense pride in making a meaningful impact in the community.”

Richard Lupton, Senior Engagement and Fundraising Officer at Lifelites, said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to Friern Barnet Centennial Lions Club’s Golf Day. The late May weather was perfect for a round of golf and was followed by a wonderful dinner for the golfers, their families and friends, where the sense of service, giving and community was palpable.
The staggering amount raised will directly benefit children with complex medical conditions and create a world of play, communication and inclusion. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the players on the day, and express our deepest gratitude to the event organisers, the Golf Day Committee, and everyone who attended and donated so generously.”
