We are thrilled to announce that Southern Scale Trail (SST) raised an incredible £4,208.08 for Lifelites.

Bringing Lifelites to Southern Scale Trail 2026

In September, we spent a weekend in a quarry with the incredible SST community after having the privilege of being chosen as one of their charity partners for the 2026 event.

SST is the UK’s largest off-road radio-controlled scale model event, bringing together families, newcomers and RC enthusiasts for a weekend of trials, competitions and community. The event is full of incredibly welcoming people, catering to families, newcomers and RC enthusiasts.

Across the weekend we had some great conversations, bridging from people who have lived experience of children with life-limiting conditions to those who were excited about the inclusive nature of our technology and how our two worlds could work together.

Members of the Lifelites team present during the weekend also got to try out driving various vehicles. It was a lot harder than it looked! They also had the opportunity to experience a first-person-view car broadcasting a live-feed to a VR headset, giving them a thrill ride through puddles, mud and rocks.

£4,208 Raised to Support Children with Life-Limiting Conditions

SST holds a charity raffle each day of the weekend to raise funds for their chosen charities, with incredible prizes donated by event sponsors. The raffle was hugely popular, helping to raise vital funds that will make the impossible possible for children with complex medical needs and their families.

What Southern Scale Trail Organisers and Lifelites Say

Daniel Pearce, SST Charity Organiser said:

“Our donation to Lifelites came about after being recommended to us by a member of our community and after researching the charity a few crew members found that we had people in our lives that would benefit from a charity like Lifelites “

Saskia Norori-McCormac, Lifelites Senior Engagement & Fundraising Officer said:

“A huge thank you to Dan and SST for choosing Lifelites as one of their charity partners for the weekend, it was an honour to be part of it. To everyone who dropped by for chat to find out more about what we do and to see how you could get involved, and everyone who bought raffle tickets and donated, thank you. It really was so encouraging to see the enthusiasm around bringing our two worlds together.”
