Lucy Waring

Senior Philanthropy Officer

After a decade as a professional opera singer, I transitioned in 2022 to a career working within the charity sector. Most recently, I’ve worked in higher education fundraising, where I’ve successfully managed donor portfolios, secured major gifts, led appeals, and supported events and strategic initiatives.

Originally from Derbyshire, I am passionate about Lifelites’ mission and eager to apply my skills and experience to make a meaningful difference for those in need.

Childhood memory: Snow days in the Peak District were some of my favourite days when I was younger. My brother and I would spend the entire day sledging until our cheeks turned red and our fingers wrinkled from the cold. Our Mum had to practically drag us inside to sit by the fire and warm up.

Please note that Lucy will be on maternity leave until February 2027. During this time, if you would like any information about supporting Lifelites, please contact Simon Pitts at spitts@lifelites.org.
