We are an innovative charity, with a proud history, specialising in the provision of assistive technology and high-quality training across children’s palliative care to enable children and young people with life-limiting conditions to play, create and communicate.
For over 20 years, Lifelites has complemented the extraordinary services across Children's Palliative Care by harnessing the power of technology to enable children and young people with life-limiting conditions to improve their quality of life and share unique, cherished experiences with their families.
We know that the sector is evolving at pace both at home and internationally, with research by the University of York indicating the prevalence of children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition in England rising over the last 17 years and is predicted to increase further, with more children living into adulthood.
As a result children are living longer but the complexity of their conditions and intensity of the support they require is increasing. It is estimated that approximately 99,000 children in the UK have a life-limiting condition. Globally, 7.2 million children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions never access the care they need.
