The day raised over £5,000 for the WCIT Charity’s work with Lifelites; one of the charities supported by the Company.
Money was raised via a number of activities including a raffle, bet-on-your-score, competing against the club professional, buying prizes skilfully auctioned by the dynamic Dominic O’Riley and an end of evening exercise where you stand up and sit down in order to win a magnum of champagne donated by Nic Birtles.
Peter Cordery, who organised the event said: "Fellowship is what makes an event like this successful. This year we went to Ashridge, the Master’s home course, where we were looked after very well indeed. .
"Raising £5,000 is a stunning result and demonstrates the generosity of WCIT members and their guests. Many thanks to all our sponsors, supporters and players for their generosity in helping to make this a great day out and generating such a fantastic sum for Lifelites."
