We’re delighted to announce that Simone has finished Lift for Lifelites returns, and has not come back empty-handed! Thanks to our incredible supporters, the fundraising total to date is £51,000.52, and counting.
On Friday 10 May Simone left our office in London to embark on a 3,000 mile road trip to visit 48 landmarks across England, Wales and the Crown Dependencies. She asked supporters around the country to help her get to each landmark, and was treated to a weird and wacky variety of transport. She was taken to landmarks such as Bleinheim Palace, Goodwood and the National Space Centre in transport such as a canal boat, a classic Rolls-Royce, a Tuk Tuk, a tram, a Lamborghini and many, many more.
Simone said: “We count ourselves incredibly lucky to have such wonderful supporters, and we can’t thank them enough for coming out to support Lift for Lifelites returns. To everyone who made a donation, organised transport, secured landmarks, or even just came by to say hello, we are so grateful and we couldn’t have done it without you.
“The money you have helped us to raise will be life-changing for the children we work with. We are a very small, but very hard working charity and are determined to do all that we can to impact the lives of children who don’t have the same opportunities that we do due to the confines of their condition. Every moment is precious for these children and their families, and we want to make sure they can make the most of every second. Thank you.”
We have so many people to thank who made the challenge possible. You can read a full list here.
