We’re really excited to announce our upcoming event, Lift for Lifelites, which will see our Chief Executive travel 2,500 miles to 47 famous landmarks, in a variety of unusual and extraordinary forms of transport, all in just 14 days.
Starting on May 25, Simone Enefer-Doy will leave the Lifelites head office in London. She will then stop at several landmarks across England and Wales, where she will be picked up for the next leg of the journey, in whatever weird and wonderful transport is provided.
Confirmed modes of transport so far include a number of different classic cars, including a DeLorean, along with a horse and cart, a canal boat, a zip wire and a cable car. She will visit landmarks such as Hadrian’s Wall, the Angel of the North, the Radcliffe Camera, Blackpool Tower and Bletchley Park.
Simone is taking on the challenge to raise awareness of Lifelites and is hoping to raise £50,000 to help support the work we do donating and maintaining assistive technology for children in hospices.
Simone said: “Lifelites is very small charity with a very big remit, and this event is the perfect opportunity to visit supporters in every county and promote the work that we do. It will be a challenge but it will all be worth it to raise funds to give children in hospices the opportunities they deserve.
“The event has only been made possible thanks to the generous support from Freemasons across England and Wales, who have kindly given up their time to support this challenge, and have loaned us their vehicles. It wouldn’t be possible without you!”
