The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT), a livery company for those in the IT industry, has supported Lifelites tirelessly for the past 18 years and has recently awarded the charity a grant of £10,000, to continue to expand its work.
Members of the WCIT have been offering their support and expertise ever since the charity began as a millennium project in 1999 and one member in particular, Colin Knight (pictured below, left), is one of Lifelites’ longest serving trustees and a member of our Technology Advisory Panel (TAP).
This incredible donation will be instrumental in helping to expand the Lifelites training programme, ensuring that hospice staff can use Lifelites technology to its full potential for the children they care for.
Without funding from organisations like WCIT, Lifelites couldn’t continue to provide children in hospices with technology that gives them the chance to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate, for as long as it is possible.
If your workplace, or a local group you are part of, could support Lifelites in this way, please contact us by calling 0207 440 4200 or emailing info@lifelites.org
Can you help Lifelites make 2020 a really special year for children in hospices?
