We have so many magical moments at Lifelites, and every month we love to share them with you, the people who make it possible.
Magical children’s hospice experiences
In March we held our Lifelites Hospice Staff Conference. The event was sold out and had delegates from all corners of the British Isles, from Cornwall to Scotland.
The day focused on using assistive technology creatively for children in hospices, as well as a first look at some exciting new technology – Virtual Reality.
Here is just some of the wonderful feedback we had from delegates:
One delegate said: “The technology that Lifelites donates makes such a difference to our children and families, and helps makes our job just that little bit easier. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to meet new people from similar settings and share our knowledge.”
Another said: “Such an inspiring and enjoyable day. This technology allows our children to interact and communicate to their full potential, experiencing the world in a way they may not be able to do so without it.”
Lifelites was delighted to be invited to speak at the Tech4Good awards in March. We previously won the Accessibility award in 2011, and the overall Winner of Winners award for our work with children in hospices, and were invited back this year to be a part of a panel discussion on the impact of technology and potential to do good and improve people’s lives.
The Tech4Good awards are a fantastic platform for organisations and individuals who are using technology to improve people’s lives, and Lifelites is very privileged to be a part of it.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported Lifelites’ this month. Our work wouldn’t be possible without you.
