On Saturday 26 March, we held a fantastic fundraising Easter Egg Trail around Covent Garden. Despite the cold and wet weather, excited children came running to meet the Easter Bunny and picked up a few tasty chocolate treats along the way. Many passers-by made donations and took part in the Egg Trail and enjoyed solving the clues on the map to find the hidden eggs in and around shops in Covent Garden.
Thanks go out to the incredible support from Capco (owners of iconic London landmarks such as Olympia and Covent Garden), shop owners including The Moomin Shop, Benjamin Pollock's Toyshop, Eric Snook and Nauticalia who took part and to our volunteers – we could not have done it without them.
James Hunt, Fundraising Development Manager said: “Even though we had the tail end of Storm Katie bluster through the Piazza, we had a great time in Covent Garden on Easter Saturday. It was great to see so many families taking part. Many thanks to all the shops involved and of course Capco who sponsored the event for us – the monies raised will help us to provide magical technology for children using London’s children’s hospices.”
