We have lots of magical moments here at Lifelites, here are just some of the magical children’s hospice experiences, families and fundraisers from February.
Magical children’s hospice experiences
The Lifelites training team have been delivering free training to children’s hospice staff across the country over the last few weeks, and have visited the West Midlands, Kent, South Yorkshire, Surrey and even the Isle of Man. This training is essential to help children’s hospice staff to get the most out of the Lifelites technology for the children they care for.
Here’s just some of the feedback we’ve received:
“It will be fantastic to show our children and young people how this technology can improve and enhance their lifestyle.” Rebecca House
“This equipment will give our children freedom of choice, allow them to express their feelings and communicate more easily.” Demelza Hospice Care for Children
“The training was excellent and helped me understand what our Lifelites technology can do. Caroline was amazing and spoke to us on a level that was easy to understand and follow. I can’t wait to use my new skills.” Christopher’s Children’s Hospice
“The versatility of this equipment is incredible, it’s fantastic to see that there’s something for everyone, no matter what their condition.” Acorns Children’s Hospice
Magical moments with families
One of the hospice at home services that we support, Jessie May, told us about one year old Isabella. Isabella’s nurse used one of the Lifelites iPads to help distract her while she was undergoing a medical procedure at hospital. She enjoyed making music and using the colourful painting apps, and as you can see from the photos, she even had a go at using her feet!
In February we were over the moon to yet again receive incredibly generous support from Children with Cancer UK. The charity, which works to fight childhood cancer, gave us a donation of £120,000. This wonderful donation will help Lifelites to continue to provide life changing technology for children and young people in hospices with cancer.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported Lifelites’ this month. Our work wouldn’t be possible without you.
