A pooled-funding initiative has meant a donation made to Lifelites from Surrey Masonic Lodges for Lifelites projects using technology in children's hospices was generously increased by the Masonic Province of Surrey.
At a special event held to award cheques to the chosen charities, Surrey Provincial Grand Master Eric Stuart-Bamford said, "The Surrey for Surrey Scheme has been running for just three years; but during this time we have distributed over £300,000, on behalf of Lodges and Chapters in the Masonic Province of Surrey, to charities in and around Surrey."
Janine Enefer, who was representing Lifelites and accepting the cheque at the event, said, "I had a great time - it was fantastic to see so many great causes benefitting from the generosity of Surrey Masons. This wonderful donation will go straight to work at Lifelites projects in Christopher's and the Children's Trust in Surrey."
The Presentation Event was held at The Croydon Masonic Centre at which a total of over £17,000 was presented to 8 different Charities.
