Province of Monmouthshire’s appeal for local Lifelites project raises £50,000.
Lifelites were guests of honour at an event to mark the end of the Province of Monmouthshire’s Festival fundraising for the RMTGB. The black tie event turned out to be the perfect setting for pleasant surprises, with the Provincial Grand Master Malcolm Lane presenting a cheque to Lifelites for £50,000 .
The charity said the Province’s donation would go to work straight away, purchasing brand new equipment for children using the Lifelites project in nearby Tŷ Hafan children’s hospice.
Malcolm said: “I’m very well acquainted with the importance of Lifelites projects for life-limited children in our Province. We know the money donated tonight will be put to excellent use: providing specialist technology for children at the Lifelites project at Tŷ Hafan in Cardiff.”
Simone Enefer-Doy, Lifelites Chief Executive, said: “This huge donation was an amazing surprise, it’s absolutely wonderful. We’re scheduled to unveil a brand new project at a children’s hospice in South Wales later this year. Thanks to this donation, we can now install something very, very special for the youngsters there.”
Through this appeal, the Province of Monmouthshire Freemasons did something pretty special for Lifelites. You can too. Visit the ‘Get involved’ tab on this website for more information.
