Today was a first for Lift for Lifelites – a visit to the beautiful Isle of Man! The Freemasons organised a fantastic day for Simone, and she was taken round the island in a wide variety of different modes of transport.
They included two cars, a land rover, a steam train and an electric tram. She also, of course, took a plane to get to the island, taking the grand total modes of transport for this one stop to six.
Her welcoming hosts took her to see some wonderful sights on the island, including the Snaefell Mountain Railway, the Joey Dunlop Statue and the Fairy Bridge.
Before leaving, she was presented with a cheque for £12,500 from the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Isle of Man! This incredible amount of money will be life-changing for the children using the children’s hospice on the island – thank you all!
