Lift for Lifelites

In 2018, our chief executive Simone Enefer-Doy embarked on a 2,500 mile challenge to visit 47 famous landmarks in England and Wales in just 14 days.

For each leg of the journey, she got lifts from supporters in a weird and wonderful variety of transport. These included a Rolls-Royce, DeLorean, McLaren, Horse and cart, zip wire, and an Aston Martin.

This eclectic mix of transport took her to landmarks such as Hadrian’s Wall, the Angel of the North, Brighton Pavilion, the Radcliffe Camera, Blackpool Tower and Bletchley Park.

She took on the challenge to raise awareness of Lifelites and raised over £104,000 to help support the work we do donating and maintaining assistive technology for children in hospices.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make it possible. We wouldn't have been able to do it without you.

An outline of her route plan can be found here.

If you’d like to see what she got up to on each day, see the updates below:

Day one - London, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex
