Evan using the magic carpet at Martin House.
In April 2021 we returned to Martin House to provide them with new life-changing technology. This included the POD, a mobile and sensory pop-up tent that offers room for every child, irrespective of their abilities. It comes in a rucksack so that hospice staff can easily take it wherever the children are in the hospice or in their own homes.
But we still need to raise funds for the vital ongoing training and technical support we provide so that the children can continue to make the most of every moment.
Hospice staff told us why recieving a package of technology from Lifelites was so important:
"The children we care for all have life limiting conditions and our aim is to make each stay as memorable as possible. Allowing them access to interactive technology gives them opportunity to make music, art work, have fun, move around on the floor, watch films, play games- all that they may not have access to at home. It’s great to make their stay at Martin House extra special."
We are also raising funds for the next package of technology which we aim to donate in 2025.
