Thanks to the Freemasons of Yorkshire West Riding, we installed a really special project for the children at Forget Me Not in Huddersfield back in 2011.
Forgive us while we roll back the years...
At the unveiling of our new package Simone our chief executive said: “We hoped to be able to give the new hospice, something special but thanks to this wonderful donation we’ve really gone to town. For the first time ever, we’re able to add the amazing Soundbeam too.”
By using movement to break a beam and produce a sound, the Soundbeam allows children with even the most profound physical and learning disabilities to make music using whatever movement they can.
Simone went on to explain how this fitted in with the Lifelites mission: “In everything we do, we try to harness the power of technology to give children in hospices greater control. This donation has enabled us to do that in an even more innovative and exciting way.”
Inspired by the Soundbeam? You can help us bring music to every children's hospice.
We provide our magical technology to children and young people using every children's hospice service across the British Isles. Every four years we provide a brand new package to each hospice, and this year we hope to donate to the hospices listed below.
