This North Wales children's hospice received its latest magical technology package in 2019 and staff training free of charge in early 2020 so that all children can get the most out of our donated technology.
We have been donating technology and providing training and technical support to Tŷ Gobaith since 2006, and have been supporting their sister site in Shropshire, Hope House, since 2000.
This technology gives children opportunities they might not otherwise have to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate, for as long as it is possible.
Evie, aged 6 was at the hospice for the celebration with her dad when we last donated some technology. She had a go at Eyegaze and enjoyed playing with the interactive cuddly toys. Her dad David said: “It's communications that's such an important thing for children, however small. These children can't tell you anything so it is vitally important they have the choices the equipment from Lifelites can give them.”
Ann Williams, Head of Care at Tŷ Gobaith said: “We are extremely grateful for the fantastic state of the art equipment r we’ve received over the years from Lifelites which includes the training and technical support. I know the care staff can’t wait to start using the equipment with the children and young people who appreciate being able to access specialist equipment designed for their use and entertainment.”
