This year Lifelites hopes to be donating a package of technology to this brand new hospice in North London.
We previously donated a small package to support their work with children in the community prior to the hospice opening. Now, the official opeining is imminent and we can't wait to see the new facility and donate a full, brand new package of our assistive technology for the children Noah's Ark will be caring for.
When we last visited, we spoke to Karen Landsman, whose daughter Nix uses the Noah's Ark service:
“This kind of technology is so important for children like Nix. She has cerebral palsy and uses a switch to communicate or to access toys and the computer, and her iPad is almost always on, playing her music or stories to keep her settled and happy. It works to calm her when almost nothing else does, and the distraction of it very often means she needs less painkillers too.
"Some of her friends are able to use Eyegaze equipment too (Nix is blind so can’t) and wow, it’s just amazing. The items Lifelites have given Noah’s Ark will I’m sure make a huge difference to the children using it.”
We provide our magical technology to children and young people using every children's hospice service across the British Isles. Every four years we provide a brand new package to each hospice, and this year we hope to donate to the hospices listed below.
We work with every children's hospice across the British Isles. They don't pay a penny towards our package of equipment, training and ongoing support.
