We last installed a package at Acorns in Birmingham in 2013 but we're still working closely with our friends in Britain's second largest city and continue to provide ongoing technical support and training for the hospice staff. Can you help us fund a brand new package in 2017?
Chris Reed, who is head of care at the hospice told us that the new iPads donated by Lifelites are the difference between some of the profoundly disabled children he works with interacting with the world around them and not having an opportunity to participate.
He told us: "Lifelites' specially adapted iPads mean children who are uncomfortable with sitting at a computer can use these tablets for communication, play and development. The apps and interface are really simple and child friendly."
Can you help give more opportunties to the children who need it most?
We last installed a new package at Acorns for the Three Counties in 2015 but we're still working with them: providing ongoing training and technical support at no cost to the hospice.
We hope to go back there and install a new package in 2019.
This hospice received our new package of 2014. We'll be coming back a few times over the next four years and we need your support to go on providing technical support and training to these lovely folks.
