The Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex is holding its yearly London to Brighton bike ride, and are looking for people to join to raise money for Lifelites!
This year’s ride will be celebrating 300 years of Freemasonry. The Province is joining with four other Provinces, but are looking for anyone, regardless of whether they are a Freemason to take part to raise money for a charity of their choice.
The ride will take place on the Saturday 24th June 2017 and will start at Clapham Common in London at 7.00 am.
All riders will meet at Clapham Common at approximately 6.30am for tea/coffee and a breakfast roll, before starting the 56 mile ride to Brighton.
The riders will follow a route marked with signs along the road all the way to Brighton. They will be followed by an ambulance and back up vans in case they break down or just need a lift. There will also be check points every 10 - 15 miles for refreshments.
When arriving at the finish, there will be a BBQ and a fun fair by the sea for family and friends to enjoy the 300 year celebration.
There are 50 rooms booked at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Brighton for those who would like to make it a weekend away.
They will require £10 per rider to cover the cost of t-shirts and insurance.
Over the 12 years that this ride hase been going, the Province has raised over £130,000 for a variety of charities. This year they are giving riders the option to choose their own charity.
